The Teacher Wellbeing Index 2024 reveals significant concerns about the wellbeing of education staff. The report shows that 77% of staff experience poor mental health at work, with 50% attributing this to workplace culture. These findings highlight the urgent need for systemic changes to create a healthier and more supportive working environment in schools (Education Support, 2024). 1 in 6 children aged five to 16 were identified as having a probable mental health problem in July 2020. Learning and academic success cannot take place until emotional wellbeing is prioritised. Our training for students including, primary, secondary and further education settings includes:

Building Resilience while managing anxiety (children, teenagers and young adults)

Managing stress and anxiety before and during examinations 

To create these systemic changes it needs to start with a focus on the culture of the educational environment.

The following training sessions can help create a culture which focuses on developing staff wellbeing and reducing staff burnout:

  • Strengthening support networks in schools for staff
  • Creating a school culture that prioritises staff wellbeing and prevents burnout
  • An introduction to Appreciative Inquiry – focus on enhancing staff wellbeing
  • Psychological safety in schools- what is it and how to create it

These sessions can be half a day (3hrs) or a full day training.
